Austin Engagement Photo Locations: Funky, Outdoorsy, or Sweet?

Months and months into our engagement, we still haven't gotten around to setting up an engagement photo session. Some wedding books tell me couples do them 6 - 8 months before the wedding, so we still have a while!

Before going through the trouble of actually talking to a photographer, I've been scouring the web looking for fantastic engagement photo locations in Austin (especially Shannon Cunningham's blog). I've found three very different personalities in others' photos:

• The funky "Keep Austin Wierd" types
  
• Outdoors-y, run-Town-Lake-everyday, hike-on-the-weekend types
• Sweet, cuddly, in-love types
  

Which personality are you?

Anthony and I met at the University of Texas, so the Tower holds a place in our hearts (and in the hearts of every single one of my bridesmaids).

UT Turtle Pond

I love the UT turtle pond possibly even more than the tower! I grew up with a pet turtle, and Anthony and I now have our own pet turtle. When Anthony was about to propose, some turtles swam right up to our table on the water. How could we not involve turtles in our wedding?

This is a tricky one to find: I've heard that the quote is on a fence on South Congress, on a Barton Springs / Town Lake bridge, under 360 near Bouldin Creek Coffee, under the MoPac bridge between RunTex and Austin High. See Stephen Bush's website for a photo of the fence. Happy searching!
