Getting on the braids bandwagon

I recently attended a friend's wedding as a bridesmaid, who graciously scheduled a hair stylist for everyone the morning of the wedding! Ever the planner, I quickly came up with an inspiration board for my own hair. No, I'm not joking.

I kept coming across pictures of celebs with cute braids (apparently it's a trend now?), and finally landed on Sarah Michelle Gellar's side-parted french braid. I wanted to combine her up-do with a curly half-up style.

I loved the results! The stylist started two french braids on either side of a side part, bobby-pinned the hair where you would normally pin it for a half-up, and curled the entire back. I think it looked great and kept the hair out of my face for all of my bridesmaid-y duties. Plus, it STAYED PUT for the entire night! I'll definitely be using this style again.
