Gifts for My Girls - Shop Local!

I tried to shop locally as much as I could for our wedding, from my bridal gown by Texas designer Audrey Hart to our Texas-themed favors. The bridal party gifts were no exception! I wanted to give my bridesmaids something personal and special that they would really enjoy, beyond the stereotypical bridesmaid gifts that get thrown away or stuffed in the closet forever.

Bottle of Local Wine
Haak Vineyards is the only winery in Galveston County. I picked up a different Haak bottle for each bridesmaid hoping to match the varietal with the kind of wines she likes.

Hand-painted personalized wine glasses
To go with the wine, I bought hand-painted personalized wine glasses in the wedding colors (purple and blue). I found St. Clair Boutique through Etsy, who is located here in Austin and makes all kinds of personalized and monogrammed treasures. Since she lives so close to me, she dropped off the glasses to my door and I saved on shipping!

Happy bridesmaids with their wine glasses!

Personalized satin hangers
This was really just a project I wanted to do after I saw this on WeddingBee, but I hope the bridesmaids liked it all the same!

I got a set of basic satin hangers from Bed Bath and Beyond, printed out tags with each bridesmaid's name, and hung the tag on the hanger. In theory, this was supposed to make it easy for us to distinguish between bridesmaid dresses on the wedding day.

Maid of Honor
My maid of honor was absolutely amazing, and I wanted to show her how much I appreciated all that she did for me and how much stress I know I caused her! To relieve the stress, I got her a gift certificate to a spa near her in Washington, DC. I was happy to see that the spa is a certified "green" facility!

Junior Bridesmaid
Since I clearly can't give a bottle of wine and a wine glass to a pre-teen, I wanted to make sure I got her something special too! I settled on a personalized cosmetic bags and jewelry roll set. I had found some adorable bags made an Etsy seller plethora, who is probably about 20 minutes from my house.

But by the time I got around to purchasing, I had run out of time and just needed something quick, so I ordered it online.
