Recap: Yum Yum Time For Dinner

During the entire cocktail hour, our guests were kept out of the dinner area by closed doors. When dinner is served, the doors are thrown open with a flourish to reveal the beautiful tables and the gorgeous view of the Gulf.

Lots of couples told me before the wedding that I wouldn't eat at my wedding. What? No sorry, that's not an option. We put a lot of thought into the menu, merging our Cajun and Italian heritages. It really did turn out to be a great meal, and we really did eat it. I did have to be careful not to spill or drop any food on my dress!

I was really glad we decided to do a buffet instead of a plated dinner -- not for budget reasons, but because people got to eat as much as they wanted! People went back for seconds and even thirds. Our guests got to have ALL of the entrees if they wanted (and I did!).

Dinner was about the time it hit me that our wedding day was moving FAST. Before I knew it, it was 8 pm. Wasn't it noon a few minutes ago? I had timed the dinner perfectly to coincide with the sunset over the water, but unfortunately I wasn't paying attention!
